Join us Sunday, June 14th for an online reading to honor the lives of Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, and Ahmaud Arbery.
Our host, MFA alum Audi Barnes, seeks to amplify the voices of Black creatives of the UCF Creative Writing MFA program past, present, and future. Both alumni and prospective students will read original works, which will be supplemented with readings by non-Black students of works published by Black creatives in the past ten years.
During the event, we will be providing information about organizations where you can donate, local Black-owned businesses and restaurants to support, and resources to help our viewers better understand how to de-center whiteness in order to better support the Black community.
